Driven by a commitment to marry social justice and art, Tabitha co-founded and designed two artistic projects, Tabii Just, a sustainable clothing label made ethically in New York City, and Livari Clothing, an artistic project that sought to re-imagine the role of sustainable clothing for women by presenting a completely zero waste collection for New York Fashion Week. Both projects led to wide acclaim and rave reviews, as designs that were both challenging the fashion industry’s relationship to sustainability and its need to center racial equity as one of the core tenets of an industry that is built on the labor of garment workers, many of whom are women of color.
